Life is like a bowl of cherries...

not really, but I am enjoying these yummy sweet cherries that Mr. Paisley picked up for me at Publix the other day. They were BOGO - which makes them even sweeter! Aren't they pretty?

So far i've managed to a whole lot of nothing today...and I liked it! I spent over an hour in the hot tub - the Florida sun is keeping it plenty warm. No need to run the heater. The water was 94 degrees which seems warm when you think about it in terms of outdoor temps, but it was cool. Very nice....didn't want to get a sun burn so I hauled the 10' offset umbrella over beside it and a sandbag that must weight at least 30 pounds to keep it upright (when you pay $50 for a 10' offset umbrella you should assume there's a design flaw...in this case, when you open it up, it tips over if you don't add the sandbag...genius design). Mr. Paisley recently replaced all the jets and it was wonderful to just chill out in cool bubbly water on a sunny, but breeze, Florida morning. Of course I looked like a prune when I got out...

I love texture...do you? I ran around the house and snapped a few photos of some of the texture you'll find inside the Paisley Cottage. Trust me when I say this just a little of it...

Fishnet drapery panels - I have them in the kitchen, my office and the guest room. In addition to being full of holes, they're also kinda hairy...fuzzy. You can see that a little bit along the edge that overlaps the white wood blinds on the right. The "solid" part isn't solid either.  It's kinda like a ladder style weave. Texture galore.
Sea grass baskets...suffice it to say I have more than one. This one happens to be on my dresser...it keeps random dresser stuff out of sight.
Bamboo curtain panels...
Silk and jute sheer curtain panels...and a woven reed art piece.
Gorgeous peelie Birch leaves....
Vintage rattan...
Woven chair...which I got for a steal at Beall's Department Store years ago. It was $124.99 (please...) 70% off, with an additional 40% off. What's that? Like $25 after tax. It even came with the cushion.
More rattan-ish texture...
A woven cobra basket (as in the kind a snake charmer has...)
A couple more textural wood art tiles...

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Hi Robin, We are sick and tired of trying to post our comment! Just kidding. Your mom and I are sitting here having some ice tea and reading your blog. We see you are in need of a new a/c. We used Walleker's, 407-647-4339. I enjoyed reading your blog and think you are quite a gifted writer. Keep up the good work!
