Well, not really...but I did stock up on laundry detergent this weekend!
Walgreen's had Purex 3-in-1 sheets BOGO ($7.99 each) and I purchased 30 $3/1 coupons, plus had a few in my stash. So on a couple of separate trips (limit 4) I paid $8.74 for 4 boxes after tax each trip (I have 12 boxes now from Walgreen's)
CVS has Purex 3-in-1 sheets on sale for $3.99 each, no limit. I got 6 there for $1.05 each after tax.
CVS also had the liquid Purex on sale for $1.99 and I had 30 or so coupons for $1/1. $.99 each? Load me up. Not with 30 though...I'm not that person who empties the shelf unless of course there are only a couple there. If it's not fully stocked it's game on.
I also bought the following at CVS (one that was out of detergent):
- 4 Snickers peanut butter squares
- 1 12 pack of diet Sunkist
- 1 12 pack of diet A&W rootbeer
- 1 12 pack of diet Canada Dry ginger ale
- 1 tube of Colgate toothpaste
- 2 bottles of Dial Nutri-skin lotion
- 2 jars of Sundown 2000 Vitamin D (holy crap these things are $18 each for 300 pills)
I had $8.79 in extra bucks from last week's shopping. I also had 2 $1/1 coupons for Sundown vitamins (which were BOGO, plus they had $1/1 coupons on them that the clerk told me I could use too, even though I already had manuf. coupons for them. SWEET - so those ended up being $7 each - MUCH better!), 2 $2/1 coupons for the Dial lotion and $.50/1 on the toothpaste.
With sales and coupons I went from $72.98 to $25.17 and I got $7 in extra bucks for the next trip. Which won't be this week because I didn't see anything I wanted / needed in the ad this morning.
